The Polestar 2 For the 2027 model year (MY27), the product range has shrunk slightly, with the entry-level “Standard Range Single Motor” version now being discontinued.

According to Polestar, the deletion “complies with customer requests for longer range vehicles.”

The mid-range electric liftback range now opens with the Long Range Single Motor variant, priced at $66,400 before on-road costs, unchanged from MY26 but $4,000 more expensive than the now-discontinued Standard Range Single Motor.

Aside from the addition of Pixel LED headlights and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system to the flagship Dual Motor with Performance package – a claimed $5,100 in added value at no additional cost – the Polestar 2 range remains unchanged.

This follows larger MY26 updates that introduced a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor across the range and a slightly reshuffled spec list, including the availability of a 1350W 14-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

Pricing remained unchanged for MY26 – apart from a $4,700 increase for the Dual Motor Performance as the optional Plus Pack became standard – and remains unchanged for the carryover models for MY27.

With the standard range 70kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery dropped for MY27, only an 82kWh package is available.
