Amazon is finally ready to let you hang its art-focused TV on your wall. After a spectacular debut at CES earlier this year, the Amazon Ember Artline series is now officially available for pre-order.
Incorporate technology into your interior design
A direct competitor to Samsung’s The Frame TV, the Ember Artline’s main goal is to disappear into your facility. And it does so with a slim 1.5-inch profile, a matte screen that prevents reflections, and a magnetic frame system that makes it look more like a work of art than a black panel on your wall.
What really sets the Ember Artline apart is the lack of hidden costs. While Samsung bundles its best gallery content into a subscription, Amazon bundles over 2,000 free works of art right out of the box. The TV also leverages AI with a new feature that allows users to upload images of their room and receive recommendations from Alexa+ about artwork that would complement their furniture and lighting.
High-end specs and aggressive pricing
Under the hood is a solid 4K QLED panel with support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It also uses Amazon’s Omnisense technology, which uses sensors to automatically trigger the Ambient Experience when you enter the room and turns it off when you leave the room. The TV also offers Wi-Fi 6 support and runs the revamped Fire TV software that Amazon introduced earlier this year, which offers faster navigation and up to 30% better performance than the old version.
Pre-orders are now available in the USA and Canada. The 55-inch model costs $899 and the 65-inch version costs $1,099. Included in the price is the choice between one of 10 magnetic frames. Additional frames can be purchased for $74.99 or $84.99 depending on the size you choose. Shipping is expected to begin April 22nd.
