Volvo is cutting prices for the EX30 and EX40 electric SUVs

Volvo Car Australia has quietly reduced prices Volvo EX30 And EX40 Electric SUVs with discounts up to $11,300.

No technical changes were made to the two small electric SUVs.

“Volvo Car Australia has repositioned its 30 and 40 Series fully electric vehicles,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

“To meet the arrival of the groundbreaking EX60, it is paramount that we change our current game plan. When the all-electric midsize SUV comes to market, it will be a game-changer in the largest electric market segment in terms of range, charging speed, performance and price.”

Prices for the EX30 have been reduced by between $7,000 and $11,300, with the range now starting at $49,990 before on-road costs – a full $10,000 less than before.

The price of the EX40 – formerly known as the XC40 Recharge – has been cut by $7,000 across the range and now starts at $69,990 before on-road costs.

Expected to launch here in late 2026 or early 2027, the EX60 will serve as the brand’s first midsize electric SUV and battery-powered alternative to the popular XC60.
