The Google Pixel 11 Pro might not look much different after all

A case retailer has inadvertently become one of the more interesting sources of information about the Google Pixel 11 Pro this week.

Thinborne, a Texas-based accessories brand known for its ultra-thin aramid fiber cases, has quietly listed a Pixel 11 Pro XL case on its website – and while the case itself is unremarkable, it’s worth talking about what the camera cutout reveals about the phone’s design.

The case itself is not the story

The case is classic Thinborne: 0.9mm thick on the back, 0.6mm on the sides, made of 600D aramid fiber, MagSafe compatible and equipped with a tempered glass screen protector.

Nothing about it screams news. What gets interesting, however, is the camera cutout – it’s closely based on the oval camera bar of the current Pixel 10 Pro XL, which suggests that the Pixel 11 Pro may come to market with a very similar footprint and camera module arrangement as its predecessor.

That wouldn’t be entirely out of character for Google – the Pixel 10 Pro’s design has already been described as a slight modification of the Pixel 9 Pro, retaining the same flat sides, rounded corners and oval camera bar.

Google may stick with the same design

If the Pixel 11 Pro follows the same pattern, Google is clearly in no hurry to reinvent the look. What it could do – and it usually does with every generation – is update the color palette that the design energy is already flowing into.

However, take this with a generous pinch of salt. Thinborne assumes unconfirmed information, and the name “Pixel 11 Pro XL” in the listing could just as easily be a placeholder or a completely incorrect product name – case manufacturers sometimes pre-list devices based on little more than educated guesses and supply chain rumors.

Google typically announces its Pixel flagships in August, and there’s no reason to believe it will be any different in 2026.

So it’s still a good five months before anything becomes official – plenty of time for more case lists, more leaks and more reading between very thin lines.
