FA Porsche’s 90th birthday is being celebrated with a special creation.
As a manufacturer, Porsche has over 75 years of history, but the family of the same name behind it has an even longer history. One of the most notable members is Ferdinand Alexander or FA Porsche, who was one of the grandsons of Porsche’s founder and also one of the manufacturer’s most influential designers. He was responsible for designs such as the 901/991, the 804 F1 car and the 904 Carrera GTS before founding Porsche Design and creating what is now a celebrated line of luxury goods.
Today, December 11th, would have been his 90th birthday, and to honor the incredible impact FA Porsche has had on Porsche’s history and legacy, the manufacturer has unveiled a new vehicle, the new Porsche 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche. It is an ultra-exclusive creation by Sonderwunsch Manufaktur, of which only 90 examples will be made, and one of them will go to none other than Mark Porsche, son of Ferdinand Alexander. With a distinctive look created as a homage to FA Porsche, the vehicle can also be further customized by its elite customer base.
The stunning bespoke paint-to-sample color in which it is presented is FA Green, a color made specifically for the model and paying homage to the Oak Green of FA’s own Porsche 911. A fabric in the middle of the seat is a nod to his favorite sports coat. Based on the current 911 GT3 Touring, it costs $387,000 and production is scheduled to begin in mid-2026. In addition to the car, each copy comes with a Porsche Design Chronograph 1 and a special weekender bag.
With a classically inspired look and a design brief that pays homage to one of the most influential figures in Porsche’s history as an automobile manufacturer, the new Porsche 911 GT3 90 FA Porsche is an incredible 90th birthday gift for someone who is nothing short of a legend in automotive history. Its elegant design and low production numbers will undoubtedly make it one of Porsche’s greatest modern masterpieces for collectors.
