The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is coming back to Australia offering you the chance to have your own modified car turned into a 1:64 scale model – and sold worldwide.
And the global winner has a chance to be entered into the Hot Wheels Garage of Legends.
Each vehicle is evaluated based on three key criteria: authenticity, creativity and “garage spirit”.

“For so many enthusiasts, their car is not just a project, but the realization of years of sacrifice, learning and obsession,” said Wayne Bryant, Chief Merchandise & Growth Officer at Repco Australia – a corporate partner of the tour.
In 2023, a cyberpunk-themed 1990 New Zealand Mazda MX-5 – known as the “Chimera” – won the competition, with the vehicle immortalized as a toy car.
“Bringing the Hot Wheels Legends Tour to Australia and New Zealand is a recognition of the strength of automotive passion and creativity in our region,” said Paul Faulkner, senior vice president and managing director at Mattel Asia Pacific.
“We saw this clearly when a New Zealand build reached the global finals in 2023, proving that our local talent can compete on the world stage. The launch of our first live regional finals is an exciting milestone – we can’t wait to crown our next Hot Wheels legend.”
Dates for the 2026 Hot Wheels Legends Tour of Australia and New Zealand in collaboration with Repco and The Warehouse will be announced soon.
