Hisense’s new CanvasTV doubles as wall art and arrives in the US

Hisense’s new CanvasTV range for 2026 is based on a simple but unique idea: your TV shouldn’t dominate your living space. Unlike a typical TV, the CanvasTV can transform into a work of art on the wall with its Art Mode, which displays paintings or personal photos when in sleep mode.

The CanvasTV S7SG series has just been announced in the US and is the successor to the original S7N series.

What sets it apart?

Its ultra-slim wall mount allows the TV to sit flush against the wall, further enhancing the look of a framed painting. But it’s not just looks that matter, as many of the solid display specs return.

In combination with a matte, anti-reflective panel, the effect is said to resemble a real screen rather than a conventional television. While the design is the highlight here, the QLED panel offers 4K resolution, Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ support, and much more. It was announced in multiple screen sizes including 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch variants.

You also get access to various gaming features such as VRR, ALLM and AMD’s FreeSync Premium support. Hisense’s new picture frame TV runs on Google TV and offers support for various apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube, as well as built-in voice control.

What else do you get?

As wall art, you get access to more than 1,000 works of art. There’s even a motion sensor so the TV can automatically display these works of art when someone enters the room. Other notable features include an integrated 2.0.2 audio system, four HDMI ports, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.

At this time, pricing and availability details are unknown. But it will probably cost over $1,200. If that sounds a bit too expensive, you can check out the older Hisense CanvasTV S7N, which is currently selling at a discount of $350.
