Ford Australia surely remembers mustang And ranger Vehicles manufactured between 2024 and 2025 as they could unexpectedly lose power.
The recall affects EcoBoost variants of the Mustang and plug-in hybrid versions of the Ranger, both of which use a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine.
“The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve could fail. In this case, reduced acceleration, engine vibration and/or loss of drive power while driving could occur,” the company says in the recall notice.
“Note: A warning light (check engine) may illuminate on the instrument cluster.
“A loss of motive power while driving could increase the risk of an accident injuring or killing vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
