Even Realities G2’s biggest software update to date brings an app store and meeting preparation tool that will transform the way you work

Even Realities has released its biggest software update since the introduction of the G2 smart glasses, and it’s an update that makes the smart glasses useful and essential.

The big new feature is Prep Notes, a redesigned version of the company’s Conversate AI feature. Before every meeting, call, or interview, you can now upload a PDF, document, or type notes right from your phone. Once the conversation begins, relevant information will be displayed in the glasses’ HUD, providing you with suggested answers and important facts.

CEO Will Wang describes the idea behind it: “Many users ask, yes, it is useful, but I wanted to have more context so that the agent could understand me better.”

The new upload feature lets you add context to any meeting in advance, so you’re always prepared instead of going through your notes at the last minute.

Can your glasses replace your pre-meeting preparation?

The short answer approaches “yes.” When you upload a relevant file, the AI automatically summarizes the document and displays a readable version on your heads-up display.

You can also create multiple prep notes and switch between them, which is really useful if you’re a salesperson going through different clients or pitch decks in a day.

Even Realities has also updated the display UI based on user feedback. The previous version cluttered too much information on the screen. The new layout is cleaner and hides elements until you need them.

What else is coming to the G2?

Another important innovation is the introduction of Even Hub, an open app platform that allows developers to develop directly for the glasses. There are already around 60 apps available, from chess to Tesla car management, all developed by a community of around 2,000 developers.

The company makes its data protection regulations clear: Apps are only allowed to request the minimum permissions that they actually need. In the interview, David, product manager at Even Realities, said: “If your app doesn’t use microphones, we will prevent the API from being called.”

I like that Even Realities places an emphasis on privacy and an open platform for development. Given recent reports that Meta is sharing your most personal records to train its AI, I hope companies like Even Realities remain transparent and enforce strict privacy regulations.

Prep Notes is now available on the Even Realities app. Even Hub launches next week.
