Ram’s more compact, affordable Rampage crew cab model is set to be sold outside Latin America, with a European launch planned – but there’s no word on right-hand drive production yet.
Designed and built by the Brazilian Ram Rampage will be presented at Fieracavalli 2025, an equestrian competition taking place in Italy from November 6th to 9th, 2025.
Without announcing a launch date for Europe, Ram said the ute will “meet the evolving needs of European drivers seeking the perfect balance of everyday and rugged utility.”
“With its positioning between C-SUVs and midsize pickups, Rampage fills a gap in the market with a compelling value proposition,” the company said in a press release, confirming that more information will be revealed at the end of the event.

By launching the Rampage in Europe, Ram would be a much more suitable vehicle for European conditions than its full-size pickups, which have niche appeal on the continent.
Not to be confused with the recently unveiled Ram Dakota Nightfall for Latin America or Ram’s upcoming American-built body-on-frame midsize crew cab (which could also carry the Dakota nameplate). The Rampage is more of a “lifestyle” vehicle, derived from the car-like unibody underpinnings of the Jeep Compass.
Although it was the first Ram designed and built by the American brand in Brazil, there were already indications that it would also be sold outside Latin America.
Earlier this year, for example, Ram secured a US design patent for the model, although the brand has yet to confirm a launch in its home market, where it would logically take on the popular Ford Maverick and the less popular Hyundai Santa Cruz, which are related to the Ford Escape and Hyundai Tucson crossover SUVs, respectively.
Launched in Brazil in 2023, the Ram Rampage double cab is 5028 mm long, 1886 mm wide and 1780 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2994 mm.
This makes it a lot shorter than, for example, a Ford Ranger, which is 5,370 mm long in the double cab version; The Blue Oval’s ute is also slightly wider at 1918mm.
The Rampage is powered by either a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with 203 kW of power and 400 Nm of torque or a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel with 149 kW and 450 Nm. Both come with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
The Rampage offers a payload capacity of 1015kg for the diesel models and 750kg for the petrol models, and all variants feature a 980 liter tub with LED lighting and an electric tailgate.
It’s not the first unibody ute with a Ram badge; The American brand sells a version of the even smaller Fiat Strada and Toro utes in certain Latin American markets.
While Australia is arguably the birthplace of the ute, this type of car-derived ute no longer exists here, where ladder frame construction predominates. With right-hand drive production not yet confirmed, it is still unclear whether the Rampage will ever appear in Australian showrooms.
