American luxury brand Cadillac is set for a more aggressive dealer rollout in Australia and New Zealand, with parent company General Motors actively seeking new dealer partners.
After confirming its launch in Australia and New Zealand as a pure electric vehicle (EV) brand in late 2023 – led by the Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV, which began deliveries in early 2025 – Cadillac’s retail network has slowly grown.
With the commissioning of the Rosebery location in Sydney in November 2024, the first of three planned company-owned “Experience Centers” was opened in Australia.
A planned Brisbane location has yet to open, although there is a test drive venue in Port Melbourne. The only New Zealand location in Auckland opened in April 2025, making a total of three branches in both countries.

In early 2026, Cadillac announced its second and third models – the mid-size Cadillac Optiq SUV and the full-size, three-row Cadillac Vistiq SUV – triggering an expansion of its sales network.
“As our electric vehicle lineup grows in Australia and New Zealand, our customers tell us they want more ways to experience Cadillac – and partnering with trusted local experts allows us to do just that,” said Jess Bala, managing director of GM Australia and New Zealand.
“The addition of new dealer locations in Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as our Experience Centers in Sydney and Auckland, is designed to give our customers better access in more locations.”
This signals a move away from solely operating company-owned retail locations, suggesting that Cadillac will do the same as Genesis by supplementing its initial network of company-owned locations with additional locations opened with retail partners.
Cadillac says it will share more details about its initial dealer partners and its network rollout plans “in the coming months.”
The luxury brand’s retail network is currently separate from that of GM Specialty Vehicles, which sells Chevrolet and GMC vehicles through franchise dealer partners. It is unclear whether GMSV dealers will begin selling Cadillac vehicles.
Unlike GMSV, Cadillac does not report its sales figures in the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries’ (FCAI) monthly VFACTS report, without data on how the Lyriq has performed since its local launch.
The Lyriq was originally priced at $122,000 (excluding on-road costs), but has since been discounted. On Cadillac’s website, the five-seat SUV is currently advertised starting at $95,000 (based on Sydney postcode pricing).
It sits above the smaller Optiq – a competitor to the Audi Q6 e-tron and Polestar 4 – which is powered by a 224kW/480Nm dual-motor all-wheel-drive electric powertrain and costs from $80,000 (excluding on-road costs).
The three-row flagship Vistiq starts at $116,000 before on-road costs and features a 445kW/880Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive with a range of 461km (WLTP) and a 91kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery.
