The Honda CR-V The lineup has been reconfigured for 2026, with fewer gasoline-powered options and more hybrids, including the delayed introduction of all-wheel-drive hybrid variants.
After launching here in 2024 with a single hybrid configuration, the flagship front-wheel-drive e:HEV RS, there are now four: the front-wheel-drive e:HEV X and e:HEV L, and the all-wheel-drive e:HEV LX and e:HEV RS.
The CR-V e:HEV (Hybrid) range now starts at $49,900 for the e:HEV X. That’s $5,000 more than the base VTi

While there are more hybrid options than before, following the deletion of the VTi X7 there is only a seven-seat option.
That leaves just the VTi L7 at $54,900, $1,500 more than its price last year. Hybrid drive is still not possible with a third row of seats.
Also dead for 2026 are the gasoline-powered five-seater VTi L with front- and all-wheel drive and the five-seater VTi LX AWD. That leaves only two petrol-only options: an entry-level variant and a mid-range variant with seven seats.
All CR-Vs stick with a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, but will get Google Built-in from 2026 and bring embedded Google apps such as Google Maps and Google Assistant.
A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster is now more widely available, with only the base VTi
The e:HEV RS AWD flagship was the biggest beneficiary of the tech updates, gaining not only a surround-view camera but also a head-up display, heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.
In addition, the wheel arch trim is switched to black and the door handles in the body color are replaced with black ones. However, it’s now $4,500 more expensive than last year’s front-wheel-drive e:HEV RS.
Unlike CR-Vs offered in markets such as Japan, front cross-traffic alert, lane change assist and active blind spot assist have not been added to the spec list for 2026 in Australia.

The VTi L7 has 150 liters of boot space with the third row upright and 840 liters of cargo space with the third row folded down, measured to the window, and 1488 liters measured to the roof.
Maintenance and warranty
The Honda CR-V comes with a five-year, unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and the hybrid battery has an eight-year warranty.
Maintenance is required every 12 months or 10,000 km, whichever comes first. The first five services are capped at $199 each.
