The world’s most popular pickup truck has received its first update since the latest generation officially arrived in Ford Australia showrooms in 2023, bringing with it minor visual changes, equipment improvements and a new design platinum Luxury flagship.
The Ford F-150 There are now three equipment variants to choose from, with the six variant range now also including the entry-level variant XLTthe middle class lassoand the new Platinum, the top model.
All three trim levels are offered at the same price in both short and long wheelbases, and each offers a refreshed interior and equipment updates, including a larger 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen (up from 8.0 inches) and a 360-degree surround camera.
As this is a facelift, key dimensions remain unchanged, as does the 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine producing 298kW of power and 678Nm of torque, as well as the standard 10-speed automatic transmission. However, higher gross vehicle mass (GVM) and gross vehicle mass (GCM) mean higher payloads.

For many potential buyers, this may not matter as the iconic F-150 – North America’s best-selling pickup truck for more than four decades – continues to compete fiercely against rivals like the Ram 1500, Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and Toyota Tundra.
