First pictures of the new one Renault striker have been launched, with the French carmaker claiming it combines a “segment-breaking” mix of estate spaciousness, hatchback practicality and SUV ground clearance.
The sleek, high-seat station wagon will be sold in Europe and the UK as the Dacia Striker and is larger than the Dacia Duster small SUV, which was launched here in 2025 as the Renault Duster.
At 4.62 meters long, the Striker, which would probably also be sold under the Renault brand if offered in Australia, is similar in size to the Skoda Octavia estate but smaller than the Subaru Outback.
Only the exterior of the vehicle has been revealed and while it is not yet confirmed for local showrooms, the Striker will be manufactured in right-hand drive as it is intended for a UK launch.

“This announcement of new models globally shows that Renault is continuing to develop its extensive product range,” Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey said when contacted by Daily Sparkz whether the Striker is sold here.
“Although it is still early in the process, Renault Australia will, as always, consider all vehicles provided by Renault headquarters for the Australian market.”
Concrete details of the Striker have yet to be revealed ahead of its full unveiling scheduled for June 2026, but Renault has confirmed it will have a starting price of “less than €25,000 ($A$40,500)” when it goes on sale in Europe in 2027.
To put this into perspective, the Duster starts at €18,990 in Germany, while the Australian price for the Duster starts at $31,990 before on-road costs.
The Striker will be offered in Europe with a choice of hybrid, hybrid all-wheel drive and LPG drives, while hybrid versions are most likely for Australia.
Dacia is Renault’s Romania-based sister brand and its Sandero compact sedan was the best-selling passenger car in Europe in 2025, while the Duster was the second best-selling SUV among retail buyers on the continent last year.
The company recently unveiled its 2030 strategic roadmap, which includes electrifying all of its models – and four new electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030.
A new A-segment (micro-size) electric vehicle will be one of four new battery-powered models offered abroad. Price starts at 18,000 euros (AUD29,150).
While the Duster is currently the only Dacia model sold here (as a Renault), Dacia sells five models in Europe, including the seven-seat people mover Jogger and mid-size SUV Bigster, as well as the extremely affordable small electric SUV Spring.
The Sandero is currently the only Dacia model that is not offered with either hybrid or fully electric drive.
