I saw my first post last month Outside Magazine: Meet the TikTokers who are shaking up outdoor influencer culture.
And this week was my first appearance on cable television via The List TV: How TikTokers show Mother Nature in a whole new light.
My segment for The List TV was broadcast on local news in 25 states and sparked a flood of text messages and direct messages from estranged friends in Texas, old co-workers in California, my ex-boyfriend’s mother in Florida, and many others I hadn’t spoken to in years.
TikTok’s new attention is surreal. Even with over 50,000 monthly visitors to this blog, I’ve never been recognized in public – and that’s happened 10 times in the last month.
I still hate compliments, but I love meeting people in real life. If you see me out and about, please say hello!
