Motorola’s upcoming foldable Razr 70 could get a camera and storage expansion

Motorola hasn’t officially said a word, but China’s TENAA certification database (via Gadgets360) has spoken out anyway.

The Motorola Razr 70 has appeared on TENAA under model number XT2657-2, and the listing contains enough details to paint a pretty clear picture of what’s in store – assuming you like reading certification databases over breakfast.

The Razr 70’s ultrawide camera could see a resolution boost

When it comes to cameras, the Razr 70 provides its clearest argument for an upgrade. The Razr 60 made do with a 50-megapixel main lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, which, to be honest, belonged in a different price range.

This time, both rear sensors have a resolution of 50 MP, with the second sensor said to be a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. This is a real camera system, not an afterthought in the spec sheet.

The storage options are also very popular. The Razr 70 is expected to be offered with up to 18GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage – configurations that would place it comfortably in the flagship range.

Motorola isn’t compromising on the chipset yet, but the listed 2.75GHz clock speed already beats the Razr 60’s 2.6GHz Dimensity 7400X. Small gap, real difference – especially if you’ve ever watched the phone pause before opening a heavy app.

Familiar displays and battery

The display history remains largely known. The Razr 70 features a 6.9-inch OLED interior display and a 3.63-inch cover display – broadly the same dimensions as its predecessor, suggesting that Motorola is maintaining the form factor while quietly improving the interior.

Battery capacity also remains at around 4,500mAh, and at 188 grams and 7.2mm thick, the dimensions are almost identical to those of the Razr 60. Given that the Razr 60 launched in April 2025, a similar launch window is likely for the Razr 70 – meaning an official announcement could be just a few weeks away.

For anyone looking for a capable foldable without the eye-watering price tag of Samsung’s Z Flip range, this model is worth the wait.
