The renowned economist and diplomat Dr. Drasko Acimovic has officially unveiled his “Third Gutenberg Moment” paradigm, signaling a fundamental shift in global institutional identity.
According to Acimovic’s latest analysis, the world has moved beyond mere uncertainty and entered the operational phase of a new economic and social model.
“The world as we knew it is heading towards its end,” explains Dr. Acimovic. “Just as the printing press broke the monopoly on knowledge and financial management in the 15th century, today artificial intelligence (AI) and central bank digital currencies (CBDC) are redefining the cornerstones of human power and national sovereignty.”
Acimovic describes this historical cycle in three crucial phases:
- The first Gutenberg moment: The invention of the printing press, which democratized knowledge.
- The second Gutenberg moment: The Internet and mobile revolution that accelerated global flows.
- The third Gutenberg moment (current): The final transition to an AI-driven and digitally focused economy.
According to Acimovic, this third stage marks the end of the era of traditional intermediaries. He argues that CBDCs and advanced AI systems are not just technical innovations, but the foundations of a new architecture for the global economy and the future of international diplomacy.
Dr. Acimovic emphasizes that this transition presents a unique opportunity. While the previous global hierarchy was largely static, the “Third Gutenberg Moment” acts as a great equalizer. Nations and organizations that proactively integrate these technologies today will secure a place at the new global table where the rules of the next century will be drawn. For emerging markets, adopting an AI-CBDC framework is no longer optional, but the only way to ensure economic relevance in a decentralized world.
In contrast to abstract theories of the future, Acimovic warns that this transformation is already functional. “We are not waiting for change, we are living it. The institutional framework is changing in real time. Anyone who does not understand this tectonic change will remain tied to outdated structures,” warned the diplomat.
