The Australian distributor for Chinese commercial vehicle brands Farizon car has confirmed its third electric vehicle (EV) for local launch, following the launch of the SuperVan (SV) mid-sized van range and H9E light truck range last year.
Full specifications, variant details and pricing for the new one Farizon V7E will only be announced next month (April) before the first customer deliveries begin in May.
However, distributor Jameel Motors says the V7E will compete directly with combustion-powered compact commercial vehicles with a 1338kg payload, 6.95m3 cargo volume and practical usability “in an agile, right-sized urban commercial vehicle platform”.
There are currently only three compact commercial vehicles available in Australia: the Volkswagen Caddy, the Renault Kangoo and the Peugeot Partner, of which only the two French models are available here in fully electric form.

The long-wheelbase Peugeot E-Partner Pro costs $59,990 excluding on-road costs, and the Renault Kangoo E-Tech is available in both short- and long-wheelbase versions, priced from $61,990 plus on-road costs.
But Jameel Motors says the Farizon V7E will “offer payload, cargo capacity and practical usability on par with or better than entry-level ICE vehicles, while being silently 100 percent electric.”
The petrol Partner models start at $39,990 plus ORCs, while the Kangoo range starts at $44,990 and Caddy prices start at $46,500.
According to Jameel Motors, the V7E is aimed at “price-conscious couriers, contractors, sole proprietors and fleet operators” who are “seeking smarter operational economics without changing the way they work”.
“The introduction of the V7E reflects a significant shift in the way companies think about their next commercial vehicle,” said Jameel Motors Australia country general manager Adam Lawson.
“Operators want performance, ease of use and value first. The V7E is designed to meet these fundamentals, with electrical power supporting the offering rather than defining it.”
“Many operators are reassessing the true cost of operating traditional combustion engine vans and are looking for alternatives that do not require changing the way they operate. The V7E delivers the payload and ease of use that businesses expect from a light commercial vehicle, while offering the potential for lower running costs and easier ownership over time.”
The Farizon V7E comes with a CATL-based lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that offers a range of up to 329 km according to WLTP standard, while the Kangoo E-Tech offers up to 286 km and the E-Partner up to 258 km (both also WLTP).
It has a wheelbase of 3200 mm, a total loading length of 2860 mm and a rear loading height of 510 mm.
Further specifications have yet to be announced, but Jameel Motors says the V7E’s 1300kg payload, 6.95m³ load volume, generous interior load length and low load height are “designed to meet the daily demands of urban delivery, commercial and fleet operations”.
“Its narrow, agile body, efficient footprint and tight turning circle make it well-suited to busy routes, loading zones and construction site access, while its lightweight, responsive design supports efficient movement through crowded subway environments.”
Like the larger Farizon SV, Jameel Motors says the V7E will offer a range of advanced safety, convenience and connectivity features, including “comprehensive driver assistance systems, advanced connectivity with smartphone integration and advanced safety technology designed to support driver confidence and daily productivity.”
Jameel Motors distributes a range of commercial and passenger vehicles from various car brands – including Toyota, Lexus, BYD, GAC, MG, Changan, Geely, Omoda Jaecoo, Hino Trucks and Ford Trucks – in more than 10 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and now Australia.
Farizon is one of several Geely-owned brands offered in Australia, including Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Zeekr, Smart and Geely Auto.
Expressions of interest for the V7E are now open via the Farizon Australia website ahead of its local arrival in May.
