Honda says the new “H” emblem will be rolled out across the range in the coming years.
The borderless emblem was originally introduced for the 0-Series electric concepts and was originally intended exclusively for use on Honda’s electric vehicles (EVs).
Now Honda has confirmed that the new “H Mark” will be rolled out not just for electric vehicles, but also for “large” hybrid vehicles, starting with next-generation vehicles due to be introduced from 2027.
It will be introduced “gradually” and will also be used at dealers, in motorsport activities and in marketing materials.

According to Honda, the new badge will consist of “two outstretched hands” and will pay homage to those used in the past.
While there has been a trend in corporate branding over the past few decades of badges becoming more three-dimensional, this now appears to be disappearing as many car manufacturers are adopting flat and featureless logos – perhaps so that the badge can be illuminated on vehicles.
According to reports from overseas, the Prelude coupe and Super-One electric city car will be the last new models to wear the outgoing badge.
Honda first introduced its “H Badge” in 1963 and underwent several design changes over the years. The latest version appears to be more similar to its original form used in the 1960s.
