The CES 2026 show floor is packed with devices of all kinds, from the questionably practical to the astonishingly innovative. And yes, lots of concept devices too. As usual, devices with next-generation display technology attracted a lot of attention, and this year it was TCL that was powering two of the most promising devices that could soon hit shelves.
A foldable device for the masses?
Motorola introduced its first book-style foldable phone at the show, and this one could rewrite the rules for the market again. Equipped with a flexible 8.1-inch 2K LTPO panel from TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (TCL CSOT), the device featured a slim design and distinctive appearance.
The Lenovo-owned brand’s latest offering, called the Razr Fold, features a 6.6-inch external screen, three 50-megapixel cameras on the back, and premium Qualcomm silicon. But hopefully what really sets the device apart is the asking price.
Now, Motorola hasn’t officially announced the asking price of its upcoming foldable phone, but if the history of clamshell-style Razr phones is anything to go by, this one will undercut the foldable phones offered by Google and Samsung, among others.
An absurdly practical gaming laptop
When it comes to gaming, bigger is always better. However, you won’t get many mainstream options in the gaming laptop segment beyond the 17-inch form factor. It would be unwise to do anything larger as it would defeat the entire purpose of a mobile gaming station.
Lenovo and TCL have other plans. Say hello to the Legion Pro Rollable Concept, a gaming laptop equipped with a rollable Lenovo PureSight OLED gaming display. In normal condition, you get a 16-inch display for work and gaming.
But thanks to the built-in dual motors, the display expands from both sides, initially reaching a 21.5-inch screen and then further expanding to a large-format 24-inch screen tailored for immersive gaming. It’s also packed with Intel’s top-notch silicon and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics.
