The Kia Tasman Despite the highly anticipated price cut, X-Line received a $3,000 price cut and more features Ford Ranger and The Toyota HiLux Challenger went on sale just three months ago.
The penultimate X-Line 4×4 version of Kia’s first dual-cab model received a limited-time price cut of $3,000 and now starts at $67,990 drive-alone – and also gets $3,897 worth of extras, a saving of almost $7,000.
These extras include metallic paint (normally $700) and a sport package with tubular running boards ($956), a soft cargo cover ($1,065) and a short-arm sport bar ($1,176).
The discounted pricing is scheduled to officially end on October 31, 2025.

While special offers are not uncommon, they are less likely early in the life cycle of a new generation model. The Tasman – a new nameplate and an all-new vehicle – only went on sale in July 2025.
Kia Australia was approached by Daily Sparkz for a comment.
The new incentive follows discounts on the Tasman even before its release, when drive-away prices were announced across the range following the announcement of pre-launch list prices.
Kia Australia has long publicly targeted annual sales of 20,000 for its first ute, which would average 1667 sales per month and make it one of the top five most popular utes in the country.
With an admittedly limited double cab offering, the Tasman has found 2,499 new homes since launch, a monthly average of just 625 sales. September’s result of 806 sales is the Tasman’s best monthly figure to date and puts it seventh in the pecking order with 4×2 and 4×4 vehicles combined.
Even if the Tasman recorded 806 deliveries each month, the annual total would be 9,672 – less than half the public sales forecast – although the full model range is not yet appearing in local showrooms.
In contrast, the BYD Shark 6 double cab plug-in hybrid was launched in February 2025 in a single model class and has recorded 14,111 registrations since the beginning of the year, including 1,193 in September alone.
Following an extensive and expensive advertising campaign featuring some of Australia’s best-known sports stars, the order book for the Tasman dual-cab vehicle opened in April 2025 with a starting price of $42,990 before on-road costs.
Two months later, in June, Kia Australia announced drive-away vehicle pricing, starting at $46,490 for the entry-level Tasman S 4×2 double cab model.
To further confuse matters, pricing for the Tasman cab/chassis range (including two-door single cab and four-door double cab body styles) was announced in August without Drive-away prices before they arrive later this year.
