LG is reviving Wallpaper as the world’s thinnest wireless OLED TV and it’s stunning

Less than a week ago, LG introduced the Gallery TV, a new range of minimalist, art-inspired TVs to rival the Samsung Frame TV range. Today LG has stripped the covers off its most ambitious TV product yet, the Wallpaper TV, reviving a formula that was first introduced in 2017.

An enchanting return

At CES 2026, the company is showcasing the LG OLED evo W6 as the reincarnation of its Wallpaper Design TV, and it’s simply gorgeous. The thickness of this glass screen mounted TV is about 9 millimeters in diameter. LG said a “complete redesign of the internal architecture” was required to achieve the new look.

The company has redesigned the wall mount, which apparently allows the Wallpaper TV to sit flush against the wall. But this TV offers more than just a simple look. The OLED panel is based on LG’s Hyper Radiant Color technology, which sets a brightness record for the Wallpaper range.

In addition, the luminance (brightness in the broadest sense) is said to be 3.9 times higher compared to an average OLED television. The company says this panel also achieves the lowest reflectivity across the TV range, while delivering deeper blacks and improved color contrast.

There’s a lot to see beyond the looks

The 4K panel of this TV supports a 165Hz refresh rate and is also NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium ready to satisfy gaming enthusiasts. Of course, it won’t be a 2026 product without mention of AI, and LG is no exception.

“By activating via voice or the Magic Remote, users can access the new ‘In This Scene’ feature for cast details and related content, with the novelty of generating images using AI,” says the company. Another cool feature of LG’s Wallpaper TV is VoiceID, which recognizes a person’s voice signature and shows them a personalized dashboard of content accordingly.

The LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV is powered by a new α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen3 silicon, which features an integrated NPU with 5.6x higher AI performance. The integrated Dual AI Engine performs parallel algorithmic processing to improve image quality, texture and noise reduction without obvious sharpening.

Another attraction is the wireless design, which reflects a minimalist strategy similar to that of the Samsung Frame TV Pro. The Zero Connect Box ensures lossless 4K images in wireless mode and can be placed up to ten meters away from the television. LG hasn’t announced official pricing yet, but we’ll know soon.
