Samsung is expanding its Micro RGB TV lineup with a new model that the company says is the world’s first 130-inch TV of its kind. Back in December, the company introduced 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, 85-inch, 100-inch and 115-inch variants. The 130-inch flagship model will be presented at CES 2026 with a fresh design.
It looks stunning
In addition to the next-generation display architecture, the biggest appeal of the new model is its minimalist design. Samsung calls it “Timeless Frame,” a design language that was first introduced in 2013. The main theme here is that the TV is not mounted on a wall or stand, but is positioned in a solid frame.
The original concept envisioned the televisions in a tilting frame. For the new 130-inch model, Samsung embeds the entire unit in a box-shaped frame, but the angled-view look is still available. “Inspired by the frame of a large architectural window, the ultra-large screen appears to float within its boundaries, transforming the TV into an artistic centerpiece that defines the space,” the company says.
Another notable design improvement is the speaker assembly. The original Timeless Frame TVs had some of the speakers built into the frame. With the upcoming 130-inch Micro RGB model, Samsung is keeping this formula for a minimalist look, and it’s pretty nice to see in person.
What else?
Micro RGB panels will be the next big TV trend in 2026, and all major brands in this space, including LG and TCL, are adding them to their portfolio. Samsung’s 130-inch Micro RGB TV uses a new pixel-level display architecture that promises ultra-precise light control and improved color accuracy.
Additionally, it offers a number of other benefits such as 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, which are said to continuously improve brightness, motion smoothness and overall clarity in real-time. There are also proprietary systems Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro to further improve color clarity and visual fidelity.
On the technical side, the new Micro RGB RTV promises 100 percent coverage of the wide BT.2020 color space. On the 130-inch model, Samsung exclusively offers an anti-glare layer to minimize reflections, a feature also available on LG’s new Wallpaper TV. Pricing details are not yet known, but should be announced closer to launch.
