The 2026 KGM Musso The ute has been caught without camouflage for the first time, revealing various model variants ahead of its official unveiling and arrival in Australian showrooms.
Images posted on social media by shorts_car show the look of the new generation Musso Q300, while YouTube commentator BPD has added more details to the images.
Three model grades are shown, while BPD claims the Q300 will be offered in both a standard short-wheelbase version and a long-wheelbase variant.
KGM has not revealed any details, including powertrains, trim levels or pricing for the Musso Q300.

The automaker has confirmed that the Musso Q300 is scheduled to launch in Australia in mid-2026. This looks to be its most competitive offering yet against the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger.
The current Musso Q200 is offered locally in three trim levels, all equipped with the same 133kW/400Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new-generation Musso, expected to be offered with petrol and diesel engines, looks similar to the fresh look of the Musso EV, which was launched here in November 2025 as Australia’s most affordable electric car.
It also borrows design cues from the Torres mid-size SUV, another KGM model new to Australian showrooms in 2025.
While the Torres and Musso EV use car-like monocoque construction, the new Musso is expected to feature a ladder-frame chassis like key rivals, offering improved off-road mobility, towing capacity and payload capability.
It is not yet clear whether the current model will continue with the coil spring rear suspension, where the HiLux, Ranger and most rivals use leaf springs.
The social media images from shorts_car show an entry-level version of the new double cab model in craftsman white with steel wheels and unpainted black bumpers, window surrounds and wing mirror caps.
The side profile, including the bulge of the hood, matches teaser images released by KGM in September 2025 ahead of the global unveiling, expected to take place in South Korea.
There’s also a Ford Ranger-style plastic protective appliqué on the front doors of both vehicles pictured, while the door handles and sloping roofline match those of the Musso EV.
Images shown on YouTube channel BPD also show “KGM” debossed in the rear shelf and a similar design to the Musso EVs, although with slightly different taillight treatment, possibly depending on the model grade.
In what appears to be a leaked internal company presentation, BPD also shows the alleged tablet dimensions of the Musso Q300, with a graphic indicating a width of 1570mm, a height of 570mm and a length of 1300mm – identical to the current Q200.
The long wheelbase model’s load area is said to be 1600mm long, while the payload is said to be between 500kg and 700kg. There are additional anchor points, a bed liner and LED lights for the tray area.
A higher model level is shown in metallic green and features larger 20-inch alloy wheels with low-profile road tires instead of off-road rubber, as well as a more complex one-piece front grille design.
Compared to the entry-level model, LED lighting extends across the entire width of the nose, while there are taller integrated fog lights in the lower front bumper.
The white Musso with lower equipment apparently lacks the integrated roof rails that can be seen on the green example.
The Q300’s cabin isn’t clearly visible in the images, apart from glimpses through the windows, which reveal a dark interior on the base white model and a tan or coffee-colored interior on the green Musso.
BPD also shows three detailed images of the interior, showing an electronic parking brake, digital displays for climate control, and a digital instrument cluster and center screen.
The Musso EV’s interior offers the strongest clues to the Q300’s likely direction, with leather and suede upholstery available on higher trim levels.
A 12.3-inch center touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a self-leveling rear suspension are standard on all Musso EV variants.
The Musso Q300 will enter a crowded small car market alongside a new Toyota HiLux, a new Nissan Navara – based on the Mitsubishi Triton – as well as additional Ranger Super Duty variants and an expanded Kia Tasman range, all of which will arrive in Australian showrooms in 2026.
