Is your TV wall mount broken? Displace Hub wants to prove it at CES

Displace wants to make wall mounting a TV feel less like a weekend project. Ahead of CES 2026, the company announced Displace Hub, a wall-mounting system that the company says can turn “any TV” into a truly wireless, smart display that you can attach to the wall in under 10 seconds.

The promise is a clean ending with brackets, drill holes and the tangled cables that come afterwards. Displace says the hub uses its active suction loop to attach a TV to “any surface,” then relies on a built-in battery system to allow the screen to stay up without a visible power cord. It also says you can reposition the TV just as quickly.

That’s a big challenge for renters and anyone who frequently remodels spaces, but the press release leaves unanswered important purchasing information, including price, battery life and the real-world limits when it comes to TV weight and wall materials. If you’re not convinced, the existing options may be right for you.

Three tech bets in one mount

Displace combines three ideas in one product: quick attachment, wireless power and a software layer. According to the company, the hub works with TVs from 55 inches to 100 inches without any permanent hardware.

On the smart side, Displace says Displace OS 2.0 brings an “ambient computing” feel to the screen, including a second screen experience through Controller 2.0 that displays relevant information and controls as you watch. The hub also features two HDMI inputs for external devices, as well as a landing gear sliding safety feature to reduce the risk of slipping or detachment.

Where the promise gets tricky

“Any surface” and “any TV” sound great until you imagine a 100-inch panel, a textured wall, and months of daily use. The vacuum system must withstand dust, heat and repeated assembly and disassembly cycles, not just a clean demo wall.

Then there is the battery life. Displace calls the setup “truly wireless,” but doesn’t share runtime, charging method, or what happens if the power goes out during the session. As the hub converts the force to the new friction point, the “no cables” gain looks more complicated.

What to see before pre-ordering

Displace says it will demo the hub at CES 2026 and open pre-orders during the show. When you’re shopping, think of the demo like a stress test: multiple surfaces, multiple TV sizes, and repeated cycles without much hassle.

The bottom line: Enjoy the concept, but wait for pricing and battery specs before you decide. These two details will determine whether Displace Hub replaces your mount or just replaces one problem with another.
