The Mahindra Scorpion The off-road SUV has received a range of active safety and driver assistance technologies, matching the more road-oriented XUV 3XO small SUV and the XUV700 mid-size SUV with which it shares the showroom.
The Scorpio range has been reduced to just a single Z8L+ variant with a seven-seat configuration, now priced at $48,990 drive away – increased by $2000. The base Z8 has been deleted.
The 2026 Scorpio arrives in Australian showrooms this summer.

The suite of standard security technology includes:
- Autonomous emergency braking
- Automatic high beam
- Adaptive cruise control with stop/go
- Lane keeping assistant
- Traffic sign recognition
There’s also a Front Vehicle Start Alert, which notifies you if the vehicle in front starts moving. This happens via a combination of a pop-up window in the instrument cluster, a beep and a vibration in the steering wheel.
The Scorpio also features Smart Pilot Assist, which controls steering, acceleration and braking so you drive at a set speed and stay in your lane.
In addition to this new safety package, the Scorpio also features an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an electric parking brake with auto-hold function and ventilated front seats.
Although Mahindra was expected to roll out this security upgrade at the end of 2024, the company officially confirmed in February that it would happen by the end of this year.

Maintenance and warranty
Mahindra offers a seven-year, 150,000 km warranty on its vehicles.
Servicing is required every 12 months or 10,000 km and Mahindra offers five years of top-priced servicing as detailed below:

Security
It is unclear whether Mahindra will have the Scorpio tested again in 2023 following the zero-star result from safety regulator ANCAP.
