Porsche opens new driving center in Mexico

A new era begins for Porsche’s presence in Latin America.

Porsche is known for its esteemed heritage of luxury performance cars, which has an impressive history spanning over 75 years. Over the past 25 years, Porsche Latin America has supported and enriched the region’s passionate community of Porsche enthusiasts and owners, cultivating a burgeoning car culture around Porsche’s signature automotive expertise. To celebrate this 25th anniversary, Porsche announced a new special request project called Icons of Latin America, which began with the customized Porsche 911 GT3 “Ocelot,” whose unique configuration was partially inspired by the natural beauty of the Amazon rainforest.

However, Porsche did not stop at celebrating and strengthening its Latin American presence. Now, Porsche has just opened its first driving center in Mexico, which is also the first Porsche driving center in Latin America, celebrating not only the anniversary of Porsche Latin America, but also the brand’s enduring commitment to the region and its car enthusiasts.

Located at the Mexico Drive Resort, a complex outside of Mexico City, the new Porsche Driving Center offers enthusiasts experiences that demonstrate the performance potential of Porsche’s diverse range of luxury sports cars. Designed by Hermann Tilke, a approximately 2.5-mile track features challenging corners, thrilling straights and elevation changes that allow drivers to experience the full range of Porsche performance engineering.

The space features modern design, meeting rooms and a fleet of Porsche vehicles for drivers to experience, including electric cars, and the new Driving Center is ready for test drives, training and even corporate events. Felipe Nasr, an official Porsche factory racer since 2022, attended the grand opening ceremony of the new driving center after winning titles in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, winning the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024 and 2025, and even driving the Porsche 963 racing hypercar to its first IMSA victory at Road America in 2023.

In conjunction with the opening of the new Porsche Driving Center, the eleventh edition of the Porsche Road Show took place at the Mexico Drive Resort location, bringing some of Porsche’s most exciting sports cars to the track for a spectacle. With the opening of its first driving center in Latin America, Porsche is celebrating a milestone anniversary of its presence in the region and making it even stronger.
