Big sales in Sin City.
Broad Arrow’s inaugural Las Vegas auction last weekend at Wynn Las Vegas provided a clear picture of what buyers are looking for in the collector car world today. Held concurrently with the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, the auction showcased a mix of classic and modern cars and brought together buyers and enthusiasts for a carefully curated, one-day sale. In the end, 82% of the lots were sold and the auction generated total sales of $13.7 million. Eli Rodriguez kept the pace constant, moving efficiently through the catalog and giving each lot a moment to shine on stage for all to see. There was the conscious, attentive and competitive energy in the room that you would expect from serious collectors competing to get their hands on some of the most desirable cars on the market.
The top lot was a low-mileage, freshly serviced 2010 Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 Coupe that sold for $2,205,000. That figure represented a record for a standard Veyron at auction, but what stood out even more was the quiet respect for the car’s legacy as a pioneer and timeless icon in the world of hypercars. Additionally, a 1962 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster sold for $1.83 million and a 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage sold for $1.116 million, proving that vintage cars remain strong competitors even alongside the latest and greatest supercars.
