Google’s Find Hub website can now find more devices, even without your phone

Google has continued to develop Find Hub and the latest update is a significant one. Previously, you could only track phones, tablets, and Wear OS watches through the Find Hub website. But now you can also use it to track tags and compatible headphones (like the Pixel Buds Pro 2).

In short, you can now locate your misplaced earbuds from your laptop without using your Android smartphone.

What can you do on the updated Find Hub website?

Actually, a little more. The updated Find Hub website now lets you remotely call a personal tracker, mark a device as lost, rename it, or even control it completely remotely – all without touching your smartphone.

The desktop layout has been updated with Google’s Material 3 design elements, giving it a cleaner, more elegant look. Even if you access the Find Hub website on a smartphone, it doesn’t feel any different than the native app, making it easy to find what you’re looking for.

Yes, the options reflect what the Android app already offers. This makes tracking your devices feel consistent across the mobile app and website.

Why is the update important?

The answer is simple: you can lose a device anytime, anywhere, whether you have your phone handy or not. The ability to pull up a browser on any laptop or smartphone and instantly find a tag you put in a bag or a pair of headphones you left at the office is something I think is very useful.

Google has also added a People tab to the site, making it easier to view and manage access to shared locations from one place. Recently, Google also integrated Find Hub into its Messages app and added a baggage tracking feature for air travel.
