The Subaru Uncharted electric SUV is expected to be available in Australia in mid-2026

The Subaru Uncharted The SUV’s launch has been confirmed in Australia, where it is expected to be the brand’s most affordable electric vehicle (EV) to date.

The release is scheduled for mid-year, with pricing and specifications yet to be announced.

Uncharted, unveiled last July, is a twin of the Toyota C-HR+ compact electric SUV, which won’t go on sale in Australia until 2027.

Both the Subaru and Toyota will compete in size and price with the Kia EV3, Hyundai Kona Electric and BYD Atto 3, slotting in below their larger siblings Solterra and bZ4X, which start at $63,990 and $55,990 before on-road costs respectively.

It will likely have the same external dimensions as the C-HR+, which is 4520mm long, 1870mm wide and 1595mm high with a 2750mm wheelbase. This makes it 55 mm shorter and 25 mm wider than its predecessor, the Mazda CX-5.

The Uncharted will be Subaru’s second new electric SUV to hit local showrooms in 2026. The larger Trailseeker – as a partner to the Toyota bZ4X Touring – is scheduled to come onto the market in June.

Subaru will have three electric SUVs in Australia by the end of the year. A fourth model is scheduled to be presented on April 1st. However, it is not yet confirmed whether this SUV will also be launched in Australia.

The Uncharted has a fastback silhouette, a smooth front end with LED headlights and slim wheel arch panels surrounding 20-inch alloy wheels. The ground clearance is 211 mm.
