The Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE005 has been introduced to the Australian market, with the new high-performance tire replacing the RE003 after 11 years.
Bridgestone says the RE005 has been designed to “maximize driving pleasure” while offering a premium sports tire for everyday driving – with the company specifically targeting the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 in this segment.
While the RE71 is the company’s street-legal semi-slick, the RE005 is aimed at those who use their vehicle for sporty on-road driving. The Potenza Sport fills the gap for drivers who occasionally spend a day on the track.

According to Bridgestone, the new RE005 has been designed to provide superior grip and control, high levels of performance in wet conditions and increased durability.
The tire’s rolling resistance coefficient is also said to make the RE005 ideal for sportier electric vehicles.
Compared to the previous model, the RE005 offers seven percent higher dry grip, twelve percent better wet grip and a four percent longer service life. The new tire is also seven percent lighter and is based on a 225/40R18.
Buyers can choose between 50 sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inches and a width between 195 and 275 mm.
According to Bridgestone, many of the most popular sports cars, hot hatches and muscle cars were served – from the Mazda MX-5 to the HSV Gen-F GTS.
Pricing for the RE005 starts at $226, with the average price for the entire lineup at $328.
The Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline RE005 is scheduled to be available at tire dealers across Australia from April 2026.
