You can finally get your hands on ASUS’ NUC 16 Pro mini PC, but it’s a mid-range variant

After being introduced at the beginning of the year, the NUC 16 Pro mini PC from ASUS is finally available on shelves. One of the mid-range configurations of the tiny system is now listed online and is currently available for purchase. The variant is equipped with Intel’s Panther Lake processor and is therefore a significant upgrade compared to previous NUC systems.

Serious hardware in a tiny box

The mini PC first made its debut at CES 2026 and featured powerful specs under the hood. However, the currently listed model has the Intel Core Ultra 7 365H processor. You get support for up to 128GB of DDR5 RAM via two SO-DIMM slots, which is unusually high for such a small system. The storage is also expandable: with two M.2 SSD slots, users can install up to 16TB of total storage.

One slot supports PCIe Gen 5 x4 SSD while the other uses PCIe Gen 4 4x. This chip also uses integrated Intel Graphics Xe3 graphics. High-end configurations with Intel Core Ultra X-series processors are combined with integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics. Despite the tiny form factor, the ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini PC is well-equipped when it comes to connectivity.

It features two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two 2.5Gb Ethernet ports, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6 and multiple display outputs, making the compact PC suitable for productivity setups or space-saving workstation builds. Mini PCs have become increasingly popular in recent years, offering desktop-class performance in a tiny chassis that can fit almost anywhere. Currently, the ASUS NUC 16 Pro is listed on Newegg for $999. Keep in mind that this is a barebones mini PC, so RAM and data storage are not included.
