Off-grid freedom meets tranquil luxury adventure

EarthRoamer is expanding its range of expedition vehicles with two new models.

EarthRoamer has always attracted a certain type of adventurer who doesn’t rely on a camping map or electrical hookups to stay comfortable. For more than 27 years, the Colorado-based brand has been designing and building luxury expedition vehicles designed to travel further without sacrificing the things that make time on the road luxurious. With over 450 Xpedition vehicles roaming the deserts, forests and coasts of North America, EarthRoamer has earned a reputation based on real-world testing rather than marketing promises. The introduction of the all-new EarthRoamer LTX and EarthRoamer SX 2.0 continues the story of constant improvement, not change for its own sake, but refinement shaped by owners who put thousands of miles on their trucks each year.

The EarthRoamer LTX replaces the previous LTi, which in turn is based on the proven Ford F-550 4×4 platform with its 6.7-liter turbodiesel and significant payload capacity. But its familiar design supports a travel cabin that’s been meaningfully redesigned with help from actual owners. The new L-shaped sofa, for example, is all about simple practicality: a place to rest after a long day on the trail that can easily be converted into an additional sleeping space if needed. An overhead California King bed provides ample space to stretch out without having to haggle with walls or ceiling panels. The materials strive for durability with a touch of luxury on surfaces designed to withstand sandy feet and damp jackets. Thanks to a redesigned 24-volt power system, expanded solar capacity and a 9,000-watt inverter, performance becomes a background rather than a limitation. You can cook, control the air conditioning and enjoy the lighting without having to constantly monitor the battery level. The result is a 30-foot expedition vehicle that encourages longer stays and fewer compromises, making life off the grid feel more like a normal life.

For explorers who prefer more space and capacity, the EarthRoamer SX 2.0 is built on a Chevrolet Silverado 6500HD chassis, offering more interior volume and increased payload. The interior height is now over 2.10 meters, which may seem like a small detail until you’ve been traveling for a week and realize how refreshing it is to stand upright. Storage space has also been increased throughout the property, from a remodeled bathroom with more cabinets to the rear walk-through garage that can finally transport bulky gear without the need for creative packing. With up to ten cubic feet of refrigerator and freezer space, your meals aren’t limited to what fits in a cooler, and real ingredients can be taken on the road. A 120-gallon freshwater capacity and 24,000-watt-hour banks provide ample power, while the new universal shore charger supports nearly every global power standard.

The shine on both vehicles lies in the small improvements that are the result of years of owner feedback, including a wider entry door that makes loading easier, a functional entry closet that acts like a mudroom, built-in insect screens, hidden cooking surfaces that become additional work space, and a doorway that now locks with a barn door mechanism for added security. None of these feel like a checkbox function. They show that EarthRoamer is listening and understands that comfort is not just about luxury, but about thoughtful design that eliminates friction in everyday moments.

The LTX and SX 2.0 continue EarthRoamer’s mission to make long-distance travel a natural experience. They are designed for people who feel most comfortable when the next highway is just a memory and the landscape outside the window is not repeated. With these latest additions, EarthRoamer supports the idea that adventures are better when you can stay a little longer.
