Watch Honor’s first humanoid robot evolve from clumsy prototype to sophisticated dancer

Honor had a busy day at MWC 2026 on Monday, unveiling its Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) vision and ALPHA PLAN, aimed at making the company a leader in human-centered AI ecosystems.

In addition to unveiling its highly anticipated and rather bizarre Robot Phone, the Chinese company also introduced MWC attendees to its first-ever humanoid robot, the somewhat unimaginatively named Honor Robot.

Honor’s bipedal bot took the stage during a special event and performed a dance routine alongside some professional human dancers, whose impressive moves may have left you wondering how long it will be before they are replaced by these increasingly advanced devices.

As the human performers danced, the honorary robot, which bears a striking resemblance in size and design to Unitree’s G1 robot, strutted onto the stage and laid down a few grooves before launching into a moonwalk that Michael Jackson himself would have been proud of.

Next, in an impressive show of confidence, Honor CEO James Li took the stage to interact with the robot. And it wasn’t a catastrophe. Li even asked the honorary robot to do a somersault, which it did brilliantly.

In another video (below), the tech company revealed just how advanced its new humanoid robot has become, with clips showing it falling over in the most unpleasant way.

Without giving too much away, Honor said its robot will focus on three core scenarios: shopping assistance, workplace inspections and supportive companionship.

As for supportive companionship, the plan is to develop embodied AI devices capable of recognizing people, understanding their needs and providing personalized physical support from the first interaction, the company said in a press release.

Honor is entering an incredibly competitive sector that is already populated by a variety of companies vying for dominance. Still, with the right strategy and bold innovations, Honor could have a chance to carve out its own niche.
