Price and specifications for the Geely EX5 Extended Range 2026 leaked

The 2026 Geely EX5 is receiving a new, larger battery as part of an upgrade for the mid-sized electric SUV. Pricing and specifications for Australia have been published online ahead of the official local unveiling.

Prices published by the industry leader Redbook reveals that the EX5 will continue to be available in two variants in 2026 – Complete and Inspire – although they will have a new battery with extended range.

This comes with price increases of $1,000, taking the Complete to $41,990 before on-road costs and the Inspire to $45,990 before on-road costs.

Per Redbook In the listing, the EX5 Extended Range uses a 68.4 kWh battery, offering a range of 475 km on the WLTP cycle in the full trim and 450 km for the top model Inspire.

The predecessor EX5 uses a 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP), which offers a WLTP range of 430 km in the complete configuration and 410 km in the Inspire.

The output of the single front-mounted electric motor remains unchanged at 160 kW of power and 320 Nm of torque.

With no extra noise and 50kg of extra weight, the EX5 is slightly slower. Per RedbookThe 0-100 km/h sprint takes 7.6 seconds in the Complete version and 7.4 seconds in the Inspire version, compared to 6.9 seconds and 7.1 seconds respectively in the previous model.
