Mazda’s first competitor to the best-selling Tesla Model Y arrives here in September 2026 and carries a sharp price tag.
The 2026 Mazda CX-6e The range will start at $53,990 before on-road costs, undercutting the base model Y by $4,910, the base model BYD Sealion 7 by $1,000 and the base model Zeekr 7X by $3,910.
Mazda is also giving the first 1,000 customers to pre-order an entry-level CX-6e GT a free $3,000 upgrade to the flagship Azami.

Like the related Mazda 6e Liftback, the midsize electric SUV was developed and built by the Changan Mazda joint venture in China.
The two Mazdas are related to the S07, sold here under Changan’s Deepal brand, but benefit from being available through Mazda’s much wider dealer network.
While an EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) version of the CX-6e is available in China, Mazda has ruled out offering it here.

Mazda offers a five-year, unlimited mileage warranty on its vehicles.
Service pricing and battery warranty coverage have yet to be announced.

A black interior is standard on the GT and Azami, while a warm beige interior is available on both for $1,000.
