Lexus has drastically reduced the prices for this RZ Electric SUV, with even the new flagship RZ550e F Sport undercutting every member of the pre-update range.
The RZ500e Luxury costs $84,500 (excluding on-road costs), $36,559 less than the RZ450e Luxury, while the RZ500e Sports Luxury costs $91,000 plus on-road costs – a reduction of $42,059.
These are price reductions of just over 30 percent and follow similar price cuts made to the latest updates to the RZ’s Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra platform mates. bZ4X prices have been reduced by up to 15 percent and Solterra prices have been reduced by up to nine percent.

Priced at $105,000 (excluding on-road costs), the new RZ550e F Sport sits at the top of the price range. It is the only RZ that does not fall below the luxury car tax threshold for fuel efficient vehicles, with the luxury and sports luxury vehicles now exempt from the Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT).
Thanks to revised electric motors, the twin-motor all-wheel drive RZ500e delivers 50 kW more than its predecessor, the RZ450e, increasing the total output to 280 kW. The torque remains unchanged at 537 Nm.
There is also a larger capacity battery (from 71.4 kWh to 74.7 kWh), resulting in a 16 percent increase in WLTP range to 460 km. The AC charging power has also been doubled to 22 kW.
Lexus says the RZ has also received additional bracing and body rigidity measures, as well as retuned dampers and springs front and rear, as well as measures to reduce noise, vibration and harshness.
The new RZ550e F Sport marks the first time Lexus has offered an F Sport version of its electric SUV here. It has a 77 kWh battery and a 300 kW dual-motor all-wheel drive. The WLTP range drops slightly to 437 km.
The heart of the new F-Sport variant is a steer-by-wire system with a steering fork.
Lexus says steer-by-wire “makes maneuvering easier at low speeds while providing confident stability and precise response at higher speeds,” while the fork can “rotate approximately 200 degrees from center to full left or right lock, eliminating the need for hand-over-hand movement.”
The RZ550e F Sport also features Interactive Manual Drive, which allows the rider to shift between eight simulated gears using the paddle shifters on the fork bridge.
Artificial engine noise and a virtual tachometer are among the ways Lexus engineers have tried to make the electric SUV feel like there’s a gasoline engine under the hood.
An even sportier flagship is set to arrive later in 2026 in the form of the RZ600e F Sport Performance, described as a limited edition with “strictly limited local availability”.
Pricing for the RZ600e has yet to be announced, but it will offer a more powerful 313kW dual-motor all-wheel drive and larger blue six-piston brake calipers with 400x28mm ventilated discs.
Despite the performance increase, it achieves the same 0-100km/h time of 4.4 seconds as the RZ550e.
It looks more aggressive than other RZs thanks to a 20mm reduction in ride height and the inclusion of 21-inch matte black Enkei alloy wheels, wide wheel arch moldings, a ventilated bonnet, a front lip spoiler and a two-tier rear wing. Inside, it will also feature unique decorations.
The whole thing is rounded off by a carbon fiber roof, which lowers the center of gravity of the electric SUV and reduces the curb weight.
The updated RZ is offered in seven exterior paint finishes, including the new Sonic Selente and Neutrino Gray paint finishes. The F Sport is offered with two-tone paint finishes.
The electric SUV takes on a wide range of models, including the Audi Q6 e-tron (from $99,900 before on-road launch) and the Cadillac Lyriq (currently on sale from $95,000).
