My favorite hotel in Las Vegas is the Park MGM. Why do you ask? Read on. If you’re looking for a hotel that balances luxury, location, value, dining and comfort, the Park MGM deserves a place at the top of your list. While mega-resorts on the Strip often compete by being bigger and louder, Park MGM stands out by offering a truly relaxing experience.
But the following is the main reason Park MGM is my favorite hotel on the Strip.
1. Park MGM is the only completely smoke-free resort on the Las Vegas Strip
Smoking is not permitted. No smoking, people! It’s not just about the rooms. It is smoke-free EVERYWHERE. There’s nothing better than waking up in the morning in Vegas and not having your hair smelling like smoke.
While there are other non-smoking hotels like the Vdara and the W Las Vegas, this is the only completely non-smoking resort with a casino!
But that’s not the only reason we love Park MGM.
2. The location is almost perfect
Park MGM is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, making it incredibly convenient for first-time visitors and Vegas veterans alike.
The hotel is directly connected to The Park entertainment district and is next to:
- T Mobile Arena
- New York-New York
- aria
- Easy tram access to Bellagio and beyond
The Park MGM is also home to Dolby Live. I’ve seen New Kids on the Block and Jonas Brothers here and I have to say there aren’t any bad seats. Plus, the prices are unbeatable! See what’s going on here.

3. The food scene is surprisingly elite
Park MGM quietly has one of the strongest restaurant offerings in Las Vegas. My favorite is Eataly. This huge Italian marketplace and dining room offers something for everyone. It’s a step up from a food court, but still cheaper than most sit-down restaurants.

4. The pool area is relaxing instead of chaotic
Not everyone who visits Las Vegas wants a non-stop party pool. The four pools at Park MGM provide a more balanced atmosphere where guests can actually relax while enjoying the lively Vegas atmosphere. This pool scene is a little quieter than most resorts. Although there are a few cabanas, this is definitely a more low-key scene. The best part is that there is an adults-only (18+) pool. There’s also a Moroccan-inspired terrace pool open to certain MGM Rewards tiers.
5. It’s often cheaper than nearby luxury resorts
One of the smartest reasons to stay at Park MGM is the value for money. The property is adjacent to premium luxury resorts like Aria, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan, but room rates are often significantly lower.
You still get a prime location, great food and entertainment without paying an extremely luxurious price. There is also the aspect of clean air!
