Seven Indians in top six at US Kids Golf Thailand; Adit wins the Boys 12 title

Hua Hin, Thailand: The Indian team had a very successful appearance at the US Kids Golf Thailand Championship, with Adit Veeramachaneni being the first choice and winning the boys 12 and under category.

Overall, the Indians had a great week as seven of the 14 players finished in the top six in various categories at the prestigious Black Mountain Golf Club.

Adit, a regular at the annual Indian Championships, topped all three days with sub-par rounds of 71-67-71 for a total of 7 under in the boys 12 category.

“Hosting three-day events such as the Thailand Championship and the Indian Championship in approximately 10 Asian countries opens up new opportunities to play on world-class golf courses against good international opponents and creates a path to higher levels such as the European and World Championships at Pinehurst,” said Rajesh Srivastava, president of US Kids Asia, which includes US Kids India.

“We currently host the US Kids Championship in countries such as India, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Korea, China and more. The number is already 10 and we are still growing. This has created a US Kids Asian Tour that provides opportunities for young players from across Asia, including India.”

Bengaluru golfer Adit Veeramachaneni has also achieved consistent results at the US Kids Indian Championship, finishing second in his age group for the last three years. He also played in the U.S. Children’s World Cup.

Adit began the final round two shots behind Thailand’s Skyy Wilding, who shot rounds of 69-67 over the first two days.

Adit started his final round on the back nine and made an early birdie on the 12th hole, followed by another on the 15th hole, making him the sole leader. They both made birdie on the 17th, but by the time the duo reached the front nine, Adit had a lead. Both Adit and Skyy made one birdie and three bogeys on the front nine as Adit maintained his slim lead and secured the title.

Nihal Cheema, who won the Boys 8 title at the 2025 Indian Championships and the Boys 7 title in 2024, finished second in the Boys 9 as he moved up a category.
