Rashid Khan was second with Daffue leading by four on Day 3

Nuh, Haryana: MJ Daffue will enter the final day of the $300,000 DP World PGTI Open with a four-shot lead after going five under through 12 holes at Classic Golf & Country Club on Saturday.

The South African, who was tied for the lead with Rashid Khan in the third round, continued his impressive form on the third day, delivering six birdies and a single bogey to reach 16 under par for the week.

His round was canceled six holes before the end of the game due to a delay in the start of play (fog) and was later interrupted due to darkness.

“I had a bit of a slow start,” he said. “Once I found a good swing, I was able to start being freer. I managed to get into my routine.”

“I made some good decisions and got lucky once on nine. I’ve always been a very good rebounder, so I was happy to recover from the bogey.”

Daffue got off to a fast start on the Road to Mallorca 2026, taking his first HotelPlanner Tour win at the NTT Data Pro-Am last month and is hoping for a second win in just the fifth event of the season.

“The goal is to win every tournament. It would be very special to win for the second time this season. My goal was to play well at the beginning of the season.”

“You don’t want to shy away from thinking about what’s at the end of tomorrow because we’re all human, but if I do what I do best, I think I’m ready to lift the trophy.”

“I’m really enjoying this golf course and I still have 24 holes left, I’m going to try to conquer every single one of them.”

India’s Khan finished the day at 14 under par in a group of four, along with Sweden’s Adam Wallin, Austria’s Lukas Nemecz and Italy’s Aron Zemmer. Saptak Talwar is one shot behind the group in sixth place.

The other two Indians in the top 10 are Ravi Kumar and Yuvraj Sandhu, both of whom finished ninth at 11 under.

For those who have not yet completed their third round, play resumes at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, while the final round begins at 9:30 a.m.
