The much-awaited trailer of Son of Sardaar 2 was released on Friday and marks the return of Ajay Devgn as the lively and fearless Jassi, a character who first wowed audiences in 2012. The sequel, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, promises a mix of action, humor and vibrant Punjabi culture, all set in the picturesque setting of Scotland.
Ajay Devgn unveiled the trailer on his social media and teased fans by promising, “Action! Emotions! Confusion ka bhandaar. JASSI is back, aur iss baar sab kuch double hai!” The trailer begins with a nostalgic nod to the original film before immersing the viewer in a series of comedic and energetic sequences. In one standout moment, Jassi watches an older woman attempt a pole dance, but the scene ends with a darkly comic twist that underscores the film’s irreverent tone.
The story revolves around a diverse group of characters who gather for a wedding celebration, with Mrunal Thakur playing Jassi’s love interest. The trailer also shows Ajay Devgn’s character recreating Sunny Deol’s iconic ‘Border’ persona while Ravi Kishan’s character provides comic relief with his struggle with the English language.
Son Of Sardaar 2 features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Mishra and Vindu Dara Singh Mehta. Mukul Dev, who passed away in May 2025.
Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, the film is slated to hit theaters on July 25, 2025. The original Son of Sardaar was a box office success and is known for its comedic take on Punjabi traditions and family rivalries.
