Lamborghini closes Polo Storico’s 10th anniversary with never-before-seen exhibition and unveils Miura tribute for 2026

2025 marks the tenth anniversary of Lamborghini Polo Storico, the Italian brand’s dedicated heritage division that restores, authenticates and preserves classic Lamborghinis. From factory restorations to archive discoveries, we’ve covered the anniversary activities extensively throughout the year. The final at car e Moto d’Epoca (October 23-26) in BolognaFiere marks the worthy conclusion to these celebrations, as Lamborghini shows its oldest surviving example in its history: the 350 GT chassis No. 02 in Hall 29 in the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley.

If you know the history of Lamborghini, you know that it was this car that marked a pivotal moment as it transitioned from a tractor maker to a car maker and the brand was subsequently widely credited with inventing the modern supercar.

First introduced at the 1964 Geneva Motor Show, the 350 GT was the company’s first production model and Ferruccio Lamborghini’s declaration to the world that he was ready to challenge Italy’s best. At its heart is a 3.5-liter V12 developed by Giotto Bizzarrini, which sits in an impressive 2+2 tourer body made by famous coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera. The car was further refined by Paolo Stanzani for production.

This particular 350 GT is special even by Sant’Agata standards, as its hood features one of Ferruccio’s early logo experiments, a black and white emblem that predates the now-iconic Gold Bull. The car is currently undergoing certification of authenticity by Polo Storico.

Next to it lies something equally remarkable: a life-size interior study from 1963, the oldest document in Lamborghini’s archives. The 1:1 drawing reflects the early collaboration with Carrozzeria Touring and shows the attention to detail with which the brand approached design in the early years.

“Participating in Auto e Moto d’Epoca is the ideal opportunity to conclude a year full of celebrations around the Polo Storico. We couldn’t tell our story better than by presenting the car that started it all – the 350 GT. At the same time, our presence in Bologna allows us to present our future activities, where the timeless Miura will be at the heart of new initiatives for our customers and collectors becomes.” – Giuliano Cassataro, Head of After Sales at Automobili Lamborghini.

These future activities include the Lamborghini Polo Storico Tour, planned for 2026 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Lamborghini Miura, the world’s first supercar. If you own a vintage Lamborghini or are considering certification, know that the Department’s restoration and authenticity programs not only protect heritage; They can also significantly increase a car’s provenance and long-term value.
