Your next retro mini PC can look like a classic PlayStation

Acemagic embraces the retro Mini PC vibe with a new design inspired by the Sega Dreamcast and the original PlayStation. It’s a small desktop that looks like it belongs on the same shelf as your old consoles, rather than hidden behind a monitor.

This wasn’t the only throwback on display at CES 2026. Acemagic also brought an NES-inspired mini PC, but the Dreamcast and PlayStation-style model is tied to AMD’s latest platform.

If you are already thinking about buying, you will have to wait. Pricing and launch date weren’t announced at CES, so for now it’s more of a look at the concept and early spec sheet than a finished product.

A small box with connections

The device, inspired by Dreamcast and PlayStation, is called Board 3 Dual-C Retro Style. It features two buttons on the top edge and a circular detail meant to mimic a top-loading drive, as well as a dedicated power button on the front.

The front panel is practical with USB Type-A, USB Type-C and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It’s the kind of layout that makes living with a living room PC easier, since it doesn’t require reaching around the back for quick plug-ins.

Gorgon Point brings the speed

Acemagic combines the case with AMD’s Gorgon Point platform. TechPowerUp has reported a Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 with 12 cores and 24 threads and an embedded Radeon 890M iGPU with 16 processing units.

The company also lists up to 64GB of SO-DIMM memory and support for up to two 4TB M.2 PCIe 5.0 NVMe drives, depending on configuration. The case holds approximately 0.73 liters and measures 140 x 128 x 40.8 mm.

Price and timing are missing

Acemagic also presented Intel Core Ultra 300 Panther Lake systems, but didn’t give them the same retro look. This console-style box is just the thing if you want nostalgia and modern AMD silicon in one package.

The next update that matters is simple. Wait for confirmed configurations, pricing and a release window, then judge whether this retro mini PC is a fun centerpiece or just a good-looking specs list.
