The Ford E Transit The electric commercial vehicle transporter was recalled due to a fault that could cause the vehicle’s parking brake to fail and the vehicle to roll.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the left rear driveshaft may have been installed incorrectly. This could result in loss of drive power while driving and/or inadvertent movement of the vehicle in park when the parking brake is not applied,” the company’s recall notice states.
“A loss of power while driving and/or unintended movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of an accident resulting in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
