The Atto 2 comes onto the market in two model variants, both of which are equipped with a 51.3 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery (LFP) and a 130 kW/290 Nm electric motor. The stated WLTP range is 345 km.

BYD says a 0 to 100 percent charge will take 8.2 hours on AC power and that a 10 to 80 percent quick charge will take 38.6 minutes on DC power.
Australians will miss out on the more powerful 150kW/310Nm electric motor and larger 64.8kWh battery offered in other markets such as the UK, increasing the total range to 429km.
Dimensions
The Atto 2 rides on BYD’s e-platform 3.0, as do other models such as the Atto 1 electric hatch cover.
The small SUV has a MacPherson strut front axle and a torsion beam rear suspension.

Maintenance and warranty
BYD Australia has not yet announced service details for the Atto 2.

The BYD Atto 2 has yet to be crash tested by ANCAP or Euro NCAP.
