Audi Q8 e-tron recalled | Daily Sparkz

Audi Australia is recalling 320 units Audi Q8 e-tron carried out between 2018 and 2024 to compensate for a possible loss of braking performance.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the mounting bolts connecting the brake pedal rod and the brake servo may not have been tightened to sufficient torque and could become loose. In this case, the foot brake pedal could become inoperable, resulting in a loss of braking performance,” the recall notice states.

“A loss of braking performance could increase the risk of an accident resulting in vehicle occupants and/or other road users being injured or killed.”

“Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Audi Australia Pty Ltd and asked to arrange with their nearest authorized Audi dealer to have the work carried out free of charge.”

Note that the Audi e-tron was officially renamed the Audi Q8 e-tron in November 2022, coinciding with a major mid-life facelift for the 2023 model year.

The Audi Q8 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) was part of a recall in November 2025, including the Audi Q7 PHEV, where 33 vehicles were recalled due to defective high-voltage battery packs that could catch fire.
