Volkswagen Golf, Tiguan and Tayron recalled again

Volkswagen Group Australia remembers 5116 copies of it golf Luke, and Tiguan And Tayron SUVs produced between 2025 and 2026.

All three models are being recalled to address a potential software issue that could cause power steering to fail.

This follows a separate recall announced last week affecting 5,931 examples of the same three nameplates due to the same issue.

“Due to a software issue, the power steering motor system may not operate as intended under certain driving conditions. This may result in sudden increased steering effort while driving,” the latest recall notice states.

“A sudden increase in steering effort could increase the risk of an accident resulting in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

The Tiguan was also recalled in October 2025, when 1,482 vehicles were affected by a potential software problem that could lead to the deactivation of some driver assistance systems.
