The Xiaomi YU7 GT An electric performance SUV has been unveiled, boasting supercar-like peak power of 738kW and featuring a five-door body modeled after the Ferrari Purosangue and presented in cherry red paint.
Accordingly CarNewsChinaThe five-door GT was described as a “pure-blooded GT” by Xiaomi – a smartphone and car maker that launched its first model, the SU7, in 2023.
It is the halo model of the YU7 series, which is already offered in three versions – YU7, YU7 Pro and YU7 Max – with up to 508 kW/866 Nm.
The Xiaomi brand does not currently have a presence in Australia and the YU7 is not expected to be available here any time soon.

The new GT’s Italian-inspired bodywork follows the SU7’s visual theme, including wavy “waterdrop” headlights, smooth lines with flush door handles, frameless side window glass and a sweeping roofline.
The images show the optional 24K carbon fiber package, consisting of 22-inch alloy wheels with Michelin tires, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and more aggressive bumpers, including a vertical blade-style diffuser at the rear.
There’s also a ducktail spoiler and ‘halo’ taillights at the rear of the car, which is 5015mm long, 2007mm wide and 1597mm high.
The YU7 GT features a dual-motor powertrain with a 288kW front motor and a 450kW rear motor, allowing a total power of 738kW to be transmitted to all four wheels.
That’s enough to push the 2405kg GT to its claimed top speed of 300km/h, and Xiaomi also tested the new GT at the Nürburgring in Germany.
The Yu7 flagship has a range of 705 km (CLTC) and its chassis features air suspension with adaptive dampers, torque vectoring on the rear axle and track-tuned stability control calibration.
Despite setting several lap times at the Nürburgring with the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi has neither revealed whether it drove the YU7 on the famous German public road course nor released a 0-100 km/h acceleration figure.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but CarNewsChina According to reports, the YU7 GT could cost around 450,000 to 500,000 yen (A$92,500 to A$103,000) before on-road costs in China.
The brand has also confirmed that it is working on a third model, the YU9 – a full-size SUV powered by an EREV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) powertrain.
