Last year’s DP World PGTI winner made his three birdies from 10 to 20 feet on the fourth, eighth and 12th holes.
Saptak, who last played at Kalhaar in 2023, said: “I looked at a lot of birdies. The putter didn’t cooperate as well as I would have liked, but I avoided the mistakes with only three bogeys in the first three days. I feel like my game is going in the right direction. This course is pretty challenging off the tees and I feel like I’ve done well with my shots so far.”
Dhruv Sheoran, who was third overnight and just a shot away from the lead, continued to make steady progress, as did Saptak. Gurugram’s Sheoran, winner of three titles, collected four birdies in exchange for two bogeys on Saturday. On the third day, he hit some putts from 10 to 15 feet away.
Dhruv, part of the Rajasthan Regals team that won DP World PGTI’s 72 The League last week, said: “I stuck to my game plan. I kept telling myself to keep the ball in play. When the wind picked up, I kept the ball in the wind. So I adapted well to the conditions. I am looking forward to competing in round four. I will draw on my experience from 72 The League in the last two weeks. The team competition in the league has prepared me well to play closely.” situations.”
