Crimson Desert PC requirements are in: Check if your PC can run it

Developer Pearl Abyss has revealed the official PC system requirements for its upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, giving players a clearer idea of what kind of hardware they’ll need before the game launches next week.

According to the requirements listed on the game’s official website, Crimson Desert requires at least a mid-range gaming PC. Minimum requirements include a Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-8500 processor paired with 16GB of RAM and either an AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT or an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. The game also requires Windows 10 (64-bit 22H2 or newer), DirectX 12 support, and approximately 150GB of available SSD storage.

For those who want to run the game at higher graphics settings, Pearl Abyss recommends switching to a Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-11600K processor while maintaining the same 16GB of RAM. On the graphics side, the recommended GPUs include the Radeon RX 6700 XT or the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080. The memory and operating system requirements remain the same.

Crimson Desert’s PC requirements appear to be manageable for many existing gaming computers

While the requirements aren’t exactly low, they’re still below what players might have expected given the scale and graphics shown in the game’s trailers and demos. Crimson Desert features large open environments, dynamic weather and complex physics systems, all based on Pearl Abyss’ proprietary BlackSpace engine.

The relatively accessible specifications suggest that the developer has made efforts to optimize the game on a range of hardware devices. Even mid-range GPUs like the GTX 1060 that are several years old are listed in the minimum requirements, so many existing gaming PCs should be able to run the game at low settings.

Crimson Desert is scheduled to release on March 19th for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. If your PC meets the above requirements, you can pre-order the game on Steam now and get started on launch day.
